As of today (2nd April 2019) Disneyland Paris have put in place new changes towards their park tickets, as well as their Annual Passes. If you’ve been around my blog for a while, you may remember I wrote a Disneyland Paris Annual Pass Guide when I recently returned from the parks in September. So now they are changing, I thought why not give you an updated version! I will be comparing the prices and perks to the ‘old’ APs to give you an idea of whether it is still worth it. Happy Halloweeennn!! Can you believe it's Halloween?! Where has October gone?! Tonight I will be at home watch some scary movies- even though I'm not a massive fan of scary movies, but you've got to on Halloween! And I wanted to share with you the ones I’m considering watching- in case you aren’t dong much on Halloween but still want to be in the spooOooky mood. 1. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. This is a new Netflix tv show and I have actually just finished Part One, but I want to share this show with you. It's so addictive because it's so good but I wish I hadn't watched it that quickly. It is about a teenage girl, Sabrina, who is half-moral half-witch and has to choose between the two worlds. It goes a lot deeper though into both worlds and how they collide. It is very spooky, and there are bits of horror but it’s a good watch! Also there are subtle hints to Riverdale which is exciting because there might be a little crossover! This tv show is perfect for Halloween as it has demons, witches, spells, sinister atmosphere, and a few jump scares. I'm already excited for Part Two. 2. Halloween.I only recently watched this film and I thought it was great! Im talking about the 1978 version by the way. It isn’t as full on with jump scares and terrifying scenes like in 21st century horror movies, which is great if you aren’t big fan of them like me. I found it quite comical too- not everything in the movie is as scary now as what it would have been in 1978. The storyline is great and I do want to see the 2018 sequel to see how it links with the older movie. Anyway this film is definitely a must watch on Halloween: the clue is in the title!! 3. Haunting of Hill House.Another new Netflix show that I've been loving recently. Yes, it gives me the creeps and there are quite a few jump scares and horrific scenes but it is so gripping! The storyline is based around a house and the haunting effects it has on a family. It is set in the present but has several flashbacks to when the family were living there and explains all the hauntings and how it has effected the children in their adult lives. as well as it giving me shivers, you get very emotional attached to the family and feel a sense of sadness towards what has happened to them. I am only a few episodes in and I cannot wait to delve deeper into the show. It's perfect for Halloween- make sure you give it a watch if you haven't already. 4. Nightmare Before Christmas. This is Halloween, this is Halloween... Halloween, Halloween, Halloween, Halloween...sorry I had to! It's perfect for today haha. If you are in the mood for a slightly less horrific and haunting show/movie to watch, then Nightmare Before Christmas is your answer. I watched this a lot as a kid and absolutely loved it and I still do. I love the characters and the songs, it reminds so much of my childhood. It's such a classic Disney film and perfect for Halloween and even Christmas- do you class this as a Halloween or Christmas film? 5. Beetlejuice.Another film which reminds of my childhood- yes I did watch this as a kid and yes it completely freaked me out. But now I'm a lot of older I have come to appreciate it more, from the humour, to the whole meaning behind the storyline. It's another classic and I absolutely love this film. Also, how I can not love the fact that one of the main characters is called Lydia too?!! In my eyes it will never get old, and again perfect for Halloween. I am even wearing a Beetlejuice jumper dress (the back of it is shown the picture above) as I am writing this, what's not to love about Beetlejuice?! 6. Hocus Pocus.Similar to Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus is one that is suitable for all ages and is perfect if you aren't fond of horror movies. I can't say I remember watching this as a kid (shock horror, seeing as it's Disney!!), but nonetheless I love it so much. The humour is great and I love the whole feel of the movie. It's again a classic and I enjoy watching it every time! There you go! Only a few movies/shows mentioned here but I didn't want to overload on a massive list. These are my favourites and it is going to be hard to choose which ones to watch tonight!! Hope you all have a great Halloween, whether you are going trick or treating, partying or just staying at home watching movies. Lidia x Follow me on my Socials:On my last disney trip (beginning of September), I stayed off site for the first time at Disneyland Paris and let me tell you I loved it. I stayed at Hipark by Adagio Apartment Hotel near Disneyland Paris, so I thought why not give you a little review, just in case any of you are thinking “where can I stay to save money?”. Finally getting back into writing more blogs for my pin collection series.I feel so bad for abandoning this series, because I really want to share my collection!! Anyway, this blog is about one of my most precious pins… As some of you may know, I’m a massive Tangled fan so anything Rapunzel or Tangled inspired gets my attention straight away…. Combine that with my love of pins and you get the perfect combination (to me anyway). I don’t have a big collection of Tangled pins, but this pin I’m about to show you is one of my favourites. I bought the pin from Ebay, and it was the first bid I won so I was very happy about that. This pin has always been on my wish list (because of my massive love for Tangled), ever since it first came out in 2015. It’s a Disney Store limited edition of 600, which also makes me want to scream inside- this was the first limited edition pin to be added to my collection aaaah. There’s something about the detail and the fact that Mother Gothel and the Stabbington Brothers are on a pin just makes me so happy- I feel like there isn’t many out there. The detail though isn’t too intricate but it gives off such a good story. You can see the characters personality through the detail. They are part of the long list of my favourite villains too, which also makes me so happy to have it in my collection. Also, I love the fact that it has a golden frame around the characters, and it gives off the impression that the characters are popping out of the frame. The colours are so vibrant, and the pin is actually quite big too. I love it so much, and I’m so glad I finally have in my Tangled collection. Here’s a picture of the pin, and of course I had to photograph it with my Tokyo Disneyland Tangled t-shirt!! Lidia xx Social Media:Another Disney blog for you!! Got some pictures to share of the 25th anniversary at Disneyland Paris. I was really lucky enough to visit Disneyland Paris three times during the anniversary and it honestly made me feel so in love with the parks. Previous to these three trips, I had been to Disneyland Paris in 2014 with my family. Before that I had been in 2003 and 2000 (which was my first ever Disney trip) but unfortunately I don’t remember anything being too little. So 2014 was really the first dlp experience for me! We had chosen to go during August which was a big mistake because it was super busy and really hot meaning we didn’t get much done. It was a lovely trip being with my family, but we weren’t a massive fan of dlp at the time... most of the staff were so boring (didn't so a lot of disney magic), some were really mean and the whole atmosphere was pretty crap to be perfectly honest with you. But that all changed when I went with my friend in June 2017. One reason was because of the 25th anniversary celebrations!! It made everything look extra pretty and magical, and the atmosphere was a lot better-probably because schools had just finished for the summer. Plus most of the cast members seemed in such a better mood (some weren't though but not everyone is going to be happy all the time!), and seemed to have so much more fun!. And my two recent trips (April, and September) made me fall in love with dlp even more. The 25th anniversary celebrations have been great but unfortunately they have come to an end now. I loved the snacks, decorations, parade, extra touches to the fireworks and the shows!! I loved the famous five characters’ outfits too!! They were blue, sparkly and just magical! I’ve got so many memories of the anniversary which I know will stay with me forever. I’m so grateful to have been twice with friends and once with my family. Even though I’m so upset the celebrations are over, I cannot wait to see what dlp do in the future- with Halloween Christmas and even spring!! Here’s to another 25 years Disneyland Paris!! Let me share some of my favourite pictures from the anniversary... Lidia xx Social Media:I’ve loved the band ever since my mum asked me to listen to them about 6years ago. My mum was already a fan because they come from her home town and they used Yorkshire dialect in their songs which is what she loved!! And I’m so glad she got me to listen to them because ever since, they have been a band I’ve always listened to. I’ve always wanted to see them live, so did my mum, but for some reason we never got round to doing it! I’m so glad I got to see them live last night. It was so enjoyable and I sung my heart out. However, towards the end of the night we had to ask staff if we could change seats because of a group of people behind us. They had spilt beer over us and we didn’t want to sit in front of them because of the way they had spoken to us. We spoke with staff and they were so apologetic. They gave us new seats (which I thought wouldn’t happen seeing as it was a sold out gig) on the opposite side to where we were originally sitting. The atmosphere was so much better. Everyone was so much calmer and just taking it all in, instead of acting crazy, throwing beer, and shouting. We weren’t even in the standing pit which I can understand is what happens down there when you see bands like Arctic Monkeys- we saw people in the pit crowd surfing, throwing tops, beer, pushing but I don’t (in my opinion) expect that at any gig when you are right at the top of the arena in seats. So that was an experience we didn’t see happening and it did make us a bit annoyed because we had missed several songs whilst sorting it out, but it’s all good because we got to enjoy the last few songs in better seats! The o2 staff helped us so much and were so great handling the situation. But I don’t want this post to be a rant because the band were amazing. The set was sooo good! I loved all the songs they sang. I loved how there wasn’t a lot going on with the stage decorations. They kept it very minimal but still dramatic and powerful. I especially loved the “monkeys” light above the stage which we couldn’t see until we changed seats. I loved hearing the songs from their new album as they have a different sound to the previous albums, but of course their older songs (from the AM album especially) were my favourite of the night. Overall it was a great night and I’m sure mum and I will laugh about the situation in the future. I’m just so happy I got to see Arctic Monkeys live. It was completely different to other artists I’ve been to see but it was so worth it! Here’s some pictures I got in the two different seats, haha- they aren't great pictures but they will do. Lidia xx Social Media:Hey guys I’m back! Sorry for not posting for a while I’ve had lots of things going on, especially visiting Disneyland Paris again!!! Its crazy to think this time last week I was still there. This trip was a special one because I went with my disney bestie Danni, so I thought why not give you little overview on how it went- as well as show you some of my favourite pictures. So if you didn’t know already I have a disney Instagram account which I actually created one year ago tomorrow. The whole reason behind it was that I wanted a place to keep and share all my disney pictures but on a different account than my personal Instagram- I felt like I needed to give my friends a break from all the disney picture spams haha. So I thought ‘hey why not create a disney Instagram!!’. I had followed a few disney accounts on my personal account, but I didn’t think anything of it other than a place to have all my disney pictures together. However, once I started to get into it more, following and interacting other disney accounts, I realised that it was in fact a community. A community to support others on their love for disney, see others disney adventures, and meet friends who also share the same disney love. I was so shocked that something like this existed and I was completely overwhelmed. Over time I developed my confidence to share more about myself with my followers and reach out to other accounts. That's when I came across Danni’s Instagram, and since then we have become so close and are disney besties. We met for the first time in June with our other bestie Dani, and I honestly don’t know where i'd be without these girls. We then met again in August with two other disney instagrammers and it was such a lovely day. I’m so grateful to have met so many amazing disney friends and I can’t remember what my life was like before my disney Instagram- so if you are reading this, thank you for supporting me and I love you all. So long story short, Danni and I decided why not go to Disneyland Paris together!! We booked it about a month in advance so it was pretty last minute, and we didn’t have an actual plan but we had the best time. We went from the 3rd sept-5th sept, so only two nights but it was one of the best holidays I’ve ever had. We got so much done, rode most of the rides (apart from toy story play land rides, and crushes coaster), we met so many characters (see pictures below), watched the shows, parade and fireworks, ate snacks and went to restaurants i'd never been before, and we even got cute pictures for the Instagram. I can’t believe how much we packed in, especially as we realistically only had two full days!! It was such a special trip, going with my disney Insta bestie but also because it was the first trip I’ve done where I travelled completely on my own to a different country. This was a big deal for me becuase I’ve never been confident enough, but I thought ‘hey why not my first time travelling to a different county alone, be to disney!!’. I was super nervous but I had such a lovely journey there and back (despite the screaming kids), and I felt like I had accomplished soooo much when I got to Disneyland Paris. As well as all of that, it was my first time staying offsite at Disneyland Paris so I was a bit apprehensive, but the hotel was incredible. I’m going to do a separate hotel review but let me just say it was just what we needed for a short trip- clean, so close to the parks, modern and pretty. Also I will post restaurant reviews seeing as it was my first time eating at ‘Fuente del Oro’ and ‘Hakuna Matata’. Oh and I almost forgot…. I’m now an Disneyland Paris Annual Passholder aaaaahh!!! I have been wanting to do this for a while now, and I’m so grateful it's finally happened… more Disneyland Paris trips wooo!!! For those interested I will be doing an DLP AP guide at some point, with tips and how I actually got it so keep your eyes peeled. Anyway, enough rambling, Danni thank you so much for coming with me it was so enjoyable and I cannot wait to go back with you again!! This trip was so amazing and so memorable… here's some of my favourite pictures… I have sooo many more pictures to share with you, but I won't bore you with them on here, so check out my disney Instagram if you want to see more!!
