![]() This week’s post is a guide to the Disneyland Paris Annual Passes (its a long one you have been warned!!). I was lucky enough to buy one on my last trip and I cannot be happier. It’s one of the best things I’ve bought and it’s so worth the money. However when I was doing my research into them, there wasn’t a lot of useful information that gave me everything I wanted to know! Plus a lot of you on Instagram wanted to know the ins and outs on being an AP holder so I thought why not write a blog. All the information (I could think of) you need in one place! I really hope this will be helpful for those of you who are thinking of taking the plunge. What is an Annual Pass?An annual pass isn't just your ticket into the parks for a whole year. You can get several different discounts and perks depending on which pass you choose to suit your Disney needs. Obviously the more expensive the pass, the more perks you can get. Should I get an AP?Since becoming an AP holder at the start of the month, I’ve been asked this question a lot. I debated this question when I was thinking of getting an AP. And to be honest only you can decide if it’s worth it for you. I’d suggest though if you are planning on visiting Disneyland Paris at least twice throughout the year then you would benefit from having one. Is there more than one type of pass?Yes there is!! But don't worry, I've got you covered. Below is everything you need to know about the four different types of Annual Passes. 1. Discovery This is the cheapest of the two, and in my opinion isn’t worth the money. You don’t get a lot of perks apart the access to the parks (which is only valid for 150 days of the year), and the Disney car park available from €40. This isn’t good value for money in my opinion, but if you want a cheap option just to get access to the parks, then this could be for you. 2. Magic Flex I was at first weighting up the differences between this one and the Magic Plus (see below) as the perks were very similar. This is the second cheapest and has significantly more perks compared to the Discovery (better value for money in my opinion). Here's what you get: Access to the parks 300 days a year. Use of the Disney car park. 10% Disneyland Paris shops (great for us who love to shop at Disney!). Discounts off Disney hotels. 20% 1-day tickets at the park entrance (great if you are travelling with others who don’t have an AP). Annual photopass available from €55. 3. Magic Plus This is the AP I have, but I’ll tell you why I chose this over the Magic Flex after I’ve shown you all the perks. The discount at Disneyland Paris shops and 1-day ticket at park entrance are the same as the Magic Flex, as well as the Disney hotel discount and the use of the Disney car park. However here’s what is different with the Magic Plus: Access to the parks for 350 days a year. Annual photopass is available from €49 (which I need to get on my next trip). 10% at Disneyland Paris restaurants (definitely came in handy!!!). 20% at Buffalo Bills Wild West dinner show (I really want to do this next time!). €39 for 1day/2parks admission for friends and family. Reserved entrance into the parks. Invitation to special Annual passholder events (hopefully I’ll get to go to some *fingers crossed*). At table service restaurants, you are offered one non-alcoholic cocktail per meal. Free use of storage, pushchairs, wheelchairs, kennels for a day (we used the storage for our luggage and it was so helpful). Extra magic time before the park opens. 10% golf Disneyland and Disney stores around France. Phew that was a lot!! The reason why I chose this pass was mainly for the extra perks.... 10% off Disneyland Paris restaurants and access to the parks during extra magic time! This access means you don’t have book at a Disney hotel to gain extra magic time access-we saved money and stayed off site but still have the extra hour to enjoy in the parks in the mornings. I benefitted so much from the discounts even though we were only there for two nights. 4. Infinity This is the most expensive option and of course has the most benefits. Access to the parks 365 days a year. Use of the car park. 20% Disneyland Paris shops. More Discount off Disney hotels compared with the other passes. 20% 1day tickets at park entrance. Annual photopass is included. 15% Disneyland Paris restaurants. 20% at Buffalo Bills Wild West dinner show. 15% character breakfasts. 10% golf Disneyland and Disney stores around France. €35 for 1day/2parks admission for friends and family. Reserved entrance into the parks. Invitation to Annual passholder events. In table service restaurants, you are offered one non-alcoholic cocktail per meal Free use of storage, pushchairs, wheelchairs, kennels for a day Extra magic time before the park opens Privileged car park. VIP seating for shows. Dedicated phone line for concierge. Free access to swimming at some Disney hotels. *Another benefit from having an AP is that you can sponsor three other people who want to purchase a pass! I’m so lucky that Danni offered to do this for me, so I got 10% off the price (thank you Danni!!). But it doesn’t stop there!!! When you have sponsored three people, you get 6 months free added onto your pass which is great! You have to be there in person however for the sponsorship to work.* So now I have chosen which pass is right for me, how do I buy one?![]() This was tricky to find the answer to online when I was doing my research, as the Disneyland Paris website didn’t have a lot of information. But I’ve got you covered (from what I have found online and through my own experience)... In the parks: This is what I chose to do and I’m so glad I did, because it was so quick and easy. We went to Guest relations (on the right before you enter Disneyland park) because the ticket booths weren’t open. I asked to buy the Magic Plus AP, I bought it there and then. I got a receipt and paper ticket which I used to get into the park, then we had to go straight to the Annual pass building (to the right of the castle). Make sure you check the opening times because it does close early. I handed the receipt, filled out a form, danni signed for the sponsorship and got my picture taken! That was it! It was very easy and the cast members in the annual pass building were so nice and helpful. Plus they give you a cute little folder with your confirmation and receipt, which I thought was so really cute and made me feel official. By mail: From what I’ve read online, you fill out a form from the Disneyland Paris website and send it off and they will send your pass over within a few days. By phone: You can also call the number on the Disneyland Paris website but from what I’ve read online they only speak a little bit of English or non at all- make sure you brush up on your French beforehand haha. Overall thoughts...![]() Overall it’s a great thing to have especially if you are going more than once within the year and you enjoy splashing your cash on Disney like me. I’m not gonna lie but it does feel great knowing Disneyland Paris is like a second home, and you are free to go back whenever you want within the year. Another plus is the fact that I can put my Tokyo Disneyland hamburger passholder purse to good use and keep my pass safe, whilst having a cute hamburger strapped to me!!! I also store some euros, fast pass tickets and any other bits and pieces I might need to hand- instead of having to open my rucksack every time. It’s just good value for money and it’s so quick and easy to do! I was slightly nervous with the process of getting one because there wasn’t a lot of information out there on the internet (and I’m a planner so I need to know what the process is haha). I’m hoping this has helped you decide if getting an AP is right for you, and answered any questions you had (Please let me know if it’s helped you!) I’m so glad I invested in one and I cannot wait to start planning another trip!! Lidia x Social Media:
