Having been editing my holiday videos to upload onto YouTube, I have definitely got the holiday blues feeling. My holiday to Japan was absolutely insane as Tokyo is a city you cannot compare to anywhere else in the UK and probably even Europe! The people were so helpful and lovely, wanting to help you and guide you as much as possible, even when some of them didn't speak English. The food and shopping malls were insane, with shops and restaurants everywhere! If I've learnt one thing about the Japanese, it is that they absolutely love to shop!!! Berlin also was amazing, with the history flowing within every street and every building. It was so interesting to understand more about German history. I do wish the weather was slightly better but it was definitely still enjoyable! Okay so you probably know what is coming next....holiday pictures!!! Now I've made sure I don't post every single picture from my two holidays, because then this blog post would be about 20 pages long, haha! I just can't resist posting a handful of pictures onto my blog however, so go and have a little nosy 😜 📍Japan... 📍Berlin, Germany... If you are interested in seeing some videos from my travels, here is the link to my latest YouTube video. I'll be uploading more videos in the next coming weeks too, so make sure you check them out!

I haven't updated my blog in a while, on what's been happening recently in my life....
I got accepted in university! This is definitely the main thing which has recently happened, and I'm so so excited! Yes I admit, I did have to go through the clearing stage as I didn't get my first two choices, and at first I thought I didn't get decent results. However after receiving my A levels results I realised I did extremely well in achieving an A in English, a B in Photography and a B in my history exam. So you may be wondering, well why didn't she get her first choices? It was all down to my history coursework, yes my coursework which was meant to boost my overall grade, as it should have been guided by the teacher! This frustrated me extremely as I had worked my socks off in order to achieve the best grade possible. However my teacher made me think I was doing immensely well in the coursework and he was "pleasantly surprised" with the work I was submitting into him, instead of saying that my coursework grade was low and how I needed to improve. I completely do not understand how my teacher let me go into that exam with a very low grade and not do anything about it!!! It annoys me even more that I got the A in English, which I needed in order to do the English course. But it wasn't even my English grade that stopped me from going to my top choices...it was the history coursework!!! Nevertheless, I'm so happy with what I have achieved and the history coursework grade hasn't stopped me from attending university. The university that accepted me is Queen Mary University of London, which was originally going to be my first choice and I am still going to study the same course I wanted, which is amazing. I haven't been dragged down by the fact that I had to go through clearing, as I was so determined to get into university. Even though clearing was very stressful and it was like a huge waiting game, I'm so glad I didn't just give up on trying to get in into uni. If anyone reading this has to go through the clearing process in the future, don't be completely upset because you can still get amazing universities with lots of courses to choose from.Yes it is a stressful and emotional process, as you've just been told you can't go to the two universities you wanted to go to and it is a long waiting game- But it is all worth it in end, you just have to be patient and know that other universities will want to accept you! So, I'm now an English university student! I start freshers week on the 19th September and I'll have lots more time to get blog posts written and uploaded, so expect more things from me on here in the near future! |
