Happy Christmas Eve everyone! How is Christmas Day tomorrow?! It's come around again so quickly. I'm writing this whilst feeling so full after having a little Christmas dinner today- we are with dad tomorrow so I will feel exactly the same haha. Yes that means we will have had two Christmas dinners, but I'm not complaining haha. Here's a picture of our Christmas (Eve) dinner table!! We have a few Christmas Eve traditions, and why not share with you what they are! Making cute hot chocolates. Is that a surprise?... not really seeing as we are obsessed with them around this time of year. We watch films.Whether it's Christmas films, or disney films we watch a series of films on Christmas Eve. Board Games are played. This is tradition we normally do with all our family members, but when we don't have Christmas with them we still play lots of board games- Cluedo, Monopoly, Disney games just to name a few. Christmas polaroids.Since I got a Polaroid camera we always take lots of Christmas polaroids, with our Christmas jumpers on etc. We takes lots on Christmas Day too, which is always lots of fun. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hope you all have a merry, great and relaxing Christmas- try not to eat too much too... I know I will though. I will be back posting nearer to the New Year, see you soon! Happy weekend everyone! Can’t believe it’s Christmas Eve Eve!! I love this time of year so I have a lot of different favourites. Here’s a list below.. let me know what your favourite Christmas things are! Hot Chocolate, mmmmm...This is my favourite drink to have this time of year. I love watching really festive films whilst drinking my hot chocolate. I always have to put marshmallows into the drink too, you can see from the picture above how many marshmallows we have, whoops! Christmas movies. You’ve got to watch Christmas films around this time of year. I have no clue the amount of times I’ve watched love actually around this festive season but I never get bored of it-who gets bored of love actually?!! The Grinch is also one of my favourites, even though I haven’t watched it in quite a while. We always used to watch it when we were younger so it’s definitely a Christmas tradition of ours. Lights.I love looking at the different decoarations people have outside their houses. When we were younger we would always go to this one particular street nearby because most of the houses would have amazing decorations outside. It makes me in such a festive mood. Here's some pictures of houses around where I live. Family. This is an obvious one but means the most to me at Christmas. Not living near my family can get really hard especially when we only see them a few times a year. So when Christmas arrives we know it’s time to see everyone again. I feel like not seeing my family a lot really does make me cherish all the laughter, fun and lovely memories I have with them, which is really special to me. Music.I am always playing Christmas songs this time of year and it’s always the same ones every year but who doesn’t love that?!! The older Christmas songs are the best in my opinion, I can never get enough of them. -What's your Christmas favourites? Merry Christmas everyone by the way. Hope you have a lovely Christmas. Lidia xx Seeing as Christmas is nearly here and I’ve been posting a lot of christmassy blogs within the past few weeks I thought why not break up the festive blogs with a little haul. I have waited to write this as I have bought these products within a period of time, so I'm very excited to show the products I've bought- some I got recently, others I’ve had a while. NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick- 'cherry skies'I never normally venture towards the red lippy, but seeing as it's the festive period I thought why not go out of my comfort zone. This lipstick was darker than I imagined, but I absolutely love it- I want to wear it 24/7! Here’s a picture of me wearing it- it's perfect for Christmas Day, Christmas parties etc. You can keep to a very simple make up look or you can go full out- either way the lipstick looks flawless. Real Technique SpongesThese are a necessity within my makeup collection, whether its when I use it for foundation, concealer or contour I cannot do my makeup without it. Liz Earle Moisturiser and Cleanse and PolishI first started using both products back in year 7 (so a very long time ago), and I am still loving them! Both soothes and help my dry and sensitive skin, and the smell is so beautiful- even the smell brings back memories to year 7 Lidia. The products last such a long time too, which is another bonus. Garnier Face MasksThe face masks I bought were the 'Moisture Bomb: Tissue Masks', the purple one is the 'Lavender Hydrating Face Sheet Mask', and the pink one is the 'Sakura Hydrating Face Sheet Mask'. Now I haven’t tried these face yet but I'm so excited to. I got two of the Sakura dry/sensitive skin face masks, so hopefully it should help my skin a little bit more. The Lavender mask is for tired and dull skin, which is definitely my skin at the moment haha. Palmer's MoisturierI bought this a while ago and it does wonders for my dry and sensitive skin. The coco butter smell is amazing too- I wouldn't go back to using anything else. Soph X palettesI've also had these palettes a while, and I've been using them every time I have worn makeup. I honestly cannot live without them. The pigment in the shadows and highlights are incredible, and they are all so blendable. The shadows and highlights last all day too which is great for long days at university, or when I go out in the evenings. The highlights are my favourite though, they are so glittery and sparkly. The four lightest colours are the ones I use the most, but I do use the darker highlights as glittery eyeshadows too. Here's a picture with the flash on to show you how amazing they are. The eyeshadow colours are amazing too. There's some matte and glittery colours, ranging from black to nudes, red to purple. I use them in my everyday makeup routine and on a night out. The range of colours is incredible so you can use the palette all year round. I'm definitely going to use this palette on Christmas and on New Year's! And it has a large mirror, which is perfect! Here's a picture of the shadows. I hope you've enjoyed reading this, let me know if you own any of the products mentioned and your thought on them also. I will be posting a few more blogs until Christmas so be on the look out! Lidia xx Let's get social:Less than one week until christmassss!!! So I had to post a christmassy blog! Last week I went to Winter Wonderland again. My two friends travelled down to spend a day with me which was lovely. I feel very festive after going to Hyde Park!! Even though the tube journey on the way back was a nightmare and we were cold, tired and there were loads of people we still had a great time. Next year I’m going to try and go during the week day as it was far too busy on Saturday. If you can go on a week day definitely go then instead of at the weekend. It seemed better this year compared to last year, with more rides, food stalls, markets stalls. However, it is still pretty expensive but it’s the We spent a good few hours there, and here’s some pictures I took- I didn’t take as many as last year though, so I’m sorry for the lack of photos! When we went to St Pancras afterwards so my friends could get back on the train, we spotted a massive tree and I had to get pictures!! It was the most beautiful tree decorated from top to bottom with roses- my type of christmas tree. And of course we took some cute Polaroids in front of my christmas tree, before we travelled to Winter Wonderland. I had the best weekend with my besties, even though they didn't spend a lot of time in London. I didn't want it to end. Let me know if you've recently been to Winter Wonderland, and what you got up to whilst you were there! Lidia xx My Social Media:I've seen a lot of people sharing their disney decorations on social media, especially Instagram, so I thought why not show you mine- seeing as we have quite a large collection now. I would definitely say we nearly have got more disney decorations on our tree than we have normal/traditional ones!! Every time we go to Disney we always have to make a trip to the Christmas shop, and a buy a few- I feel like that's part of our Disney tradition! So here's our collection so far! Let me know if you have any disney decorations, and if you have the same ones as me!! This one is Mickey shaped and furry, what more could you want!! And I think this is one of the first ones we bought, either at Disneyland Paris or Walt disney world I can't remember. I think it's so cute- it's plain but still gives the tree Disney magic. Again, this Tinkerbell decoration was one of the first in our collection but it is probably one of my favourites. I remember when I was around 8years old, being so excited to place her on the tree and it always had to go near the top so she could fly!! This Mickey and Minnie snow globe decoration is one of the more recent ones. I picked it up at Disneyland Paris when I went back in June. I saw it and had to get it- it has the cute couple dressed as Santa and Mrs Clause, in front of a Christmas tree and of course with snow at their feet. These next decorations are very similar, which we think we picked up from Tokyo Disney when we went in august 2016 but we honestly can't remember. They are collectable Mickey shaped hats of Belle, Sally and Rapunzel and they are cutest. There were lots of different characters but we chose our favourites. They are so different to ones we've seen before! I remember getting this Aurora one back in 2005 when we went to WDW for the first time. It was so different to anything else I'd seen as it is an Aurora bell!! How cool is that! It looks so pretty when the Christmas lights shine through the bell. This one is similar to the Mickey and Minnie snow globe decoration, but it has a velvet Christmas hat attached, and the snow globe is Mickey shaped!! We got this from WDW and Mickey looks so cute with his hat, scarf and gloves on!! My brother loves Toy story so when we saw this, back in 2013 at WDW we had to buy it for him. They look so cute holding onto a Mickey hat! I love how the year is painted on it too- makes it easier to remember where we got it from haha! Another Mickey and Minnie one, you can't have enough of them on your tree though! This one is similar to the one I bought this year at Paris, but instead this isn't a snow globe. Again it is glittery and very cute. I love this one so much! It's a Minnie shoe!! We got this from Tokyo and I had never anything like this before it's so pretty! Again, it is very similar to the other Mickey and Minnie decorations but they are just adorable dressed in wedding outfits!! These two we got in Disneyland Paris back in 2014. I love the one where you can place a photo inside. I still need to put a photo in from that trip! Both have Sourcer Mickey which are different to the ones we have. And of course they are glittery!! This isn't an actual Disney decoration, it's actually from Paperchase. We bought because reminded us of Buzz's ride at Disney with the laser guns. It's very glittery and sparkly too which is amazing when the lights hit it. This one was one of the first to be added to the collection, all the way back in 2005. Minnie is holding a little star and it needed to be bought so we could place her near the top of the tree. It's my favourite- who knew how many memories a Christmas decoration could hold? We did have a Mickey one but he broke several times, so sad... And finally.... This one I got last week from the Disney Store. I had been looking at it for ages and kept telling myself I didn't need it. Then when I knew it was reduced I had to go and buy one. I love The Resucers and it is very rare to see things on the film- so I knew I had to buy it. It's completely different to the others in our collection and I'm so glad I got it. Thank you for reading, sorry it was quite a long blog- I really wanted to share my collection with you all!!Let me know your favourite Disney decoration and if you have any which are the same/similar to mine!! Lidia xx My Social Media:What would say to your past self if you had the chance? What advice would you give yourself? I was sat on the tube home this evening, and this question popped into my head; "What would I say to 14year old me?". I thought about it on the journey home and I feel like it would have made growing up a lot easier, if 14 year old me could get some important advice from older me. It’s quite difficult to think about. I understand though, a part of growing up is to learn things on your own accord rather than someone telling you to do something. Nevertheless, there’s some advice I think I would have liked to have known. It’s been five years since I was 14 and I wouldn’t say I know everything but, from then to now, I have learnt a few things… 1. Time is a great healer. When I was around 14 my family life changed and in the moment it felt like the whole world was falling.Everyone at the time kept saying “oh through time it will get better” and I honestly couldn’t see it happening. But since then time has made the situation a little bit more bearable. So, little Lidia.. it will get better, time will help it to heal a tiny bit more.. A little throwback picture of my brother and I.. all the way back in 2012! 2. Don’t wish it away. When I was at secondary school, I would constantly think “I wonder what will my life be like when I get to 18?” “Will I get into sixth form?” “Will I get into university?” Etc etc. But you know what just live your life in the moment, and try not to wish it away. 3. Don’t worry about what people think. I was so conscious about what people thought of me, and I would not do things I really wanted to do purely because I was worried about others. I still have that now slightly, but doesn’t everyone. It’s okay to do things that people may not think you can do, just be yourself. A picture of me around that age... still in love with the Harry Potter series to this day. 4. Don’t be hard on yourselfI still do this now but not as much as I used to in school. Again be yourself and mistakes happen. That’s what makes you human, everyone makes mistakes. Try not to be hard on yourself. 5. Believe in yourself Believeeeee!! I alway doubted whether I could do something throughout school and most times it worked out okay! I regret now not being confident and thinking "hell yeah I can do this!". I still doubt myself sometimes but doesn't everyone?! All you need is confidence, do what you want to do and believe in yourself. Yes that is 15year old me... embarrassing or what? haha This post was a bit of a random one, but I wanted to share some thoughts on the advice I would give to my younger self. Also thought it would be funny to share some pictures of me at that age. Lidia xx Want to follow my Social Media?I feel like I haven’t done a driving update in so long!! Here’s another one for you.. This week’s driving lesson went really well… he said it was my best lesson so far which was a complete surprise! Whenever I drive I always think “oh I should have done that better” or “that went really badly” but he thought I did a great job this week! So watch out everyone, I'll be passing in no time ;) This week we mainly focused on manoeuvres, so I did a parallel park which went really well, and he introduced me to a new one which is on the new tests.1 I was very surprised when he told me to pull over on the other side of the road (in a residential area, not on a main road thankfully), straighten up, then reverse back so I was a good distance away from the car behind. I was thinking “surely it can’t be just that?” But it really was, and once I finished it he said that was the best he’s seen any student do it so far! I didn’t find it difficult which is good, and he said that new manoeuvre is replacing reversing around the corner which is amazing, because I found that quite challenging!! He said my driving was great as he didn’t need to tell me what to do, only to give me directions. He basically just there for an hour whilst I drove around my area. I’m so glad I’m getting the hand of it and everything is falling into place. By the time my practical test comes round I should definitely be ready! When I do pass, I will miss driving lessons seeing as I’ve been doing it on and off for two years at the moment- can’t believe it’s been that long! Lidia xx Check out my Social Media:I’ve been planning this blog for ages, so seeing as it’s the 1st December why not show you my playlist for this month!!! Some songs are ones I stumbled upon, on Spotify which aren’t related to Christmas- they make me feel cosy and chilled which is definitely needed seeing as it's winter now! But, yes you guessed it, the majority are Christmas songs!!! The Christmas songs are some of my favourites, which really get me in the festive mood!! Can you tell I'm excited for Christmas??
