The Seats:We were sat in the stalls, second row from the front, which was just magical. I cannot say anything negative about the seats! You kept catching the eyes of the actors because the seats were so close. You may think that because it was so close we might have not been able to see clear or see anything at all. That however was not true, as we could see every detail of the costumes, the actors expressions, and the set. Plus the orchestra was just in front of us, below the stage, so the music was very close to us which was fantastic. It was absolutely mesmerising sitting at the very front, and definitely worth the money. Here’s a photo showing you how close we were… What actors did we have?![]() The first time we saw it (end of 2017), we had the original Genie and Jasmine along with a stand-in Aladdin. This time however we had the original Genie and Aladdin with a stand-in Jasmine. It is amazing to see the variation in the acting, and let me say it was just as incredible as the first time. The Set:Incredible. The ‘cave of wonders/friend like me’ and ‘a whole new world’ scenes were definitely my favourites. These scenes especially were so captivating and magical. Having said that all the scenes were amazing; the way they moved throughout the songs; the way the actors used the sets to tell the story. There is so much detail which goes into the sets you don’t even know where to look during certain sections of the show! The costumes were incredible too. You can definitely see that it is a Disney production just through the amount of intricate work in the costumes (as well as the awesome music too... just wow!). It was amazing to see how many quick changes there were too…and how quick they were!! You couldn’t keep up with the amount of changes all the actors did and they made it look flawless. If you follow my Disney Instagram (link bio), you would remember me saying there was a little things which went wrong. Nothing bad, just a minor fault. During the end sequence Aladdin and Jasmine went on the magic carpet again which was lovely to see. However, when taking their bows the safety curtain came down. The actors then had to stand in front of the stuffy curtain to take their bows, which was different to when we saw it the first time. I didn’t think anything of it until I saw the conductor turn round and look confused. All the actors took their bows whilst we clapped and clapped. Expect the two actors playing Aladdin and Jasmine. Yes, they did not come out for their encore! I was gutted because I wanted to give them a massive round of applause (probably everyone in the audience felt that way too!!). So, I’m assuming something went wrong with the carpet where they couldn’t get down or get off? Such a shame but it was a minor thing at the very end. All performances have their faults one way or another, so it’s completely understanding… I was just sat there like “where’s Aladdin and Jasmine???” haha. Overall I would give this broadway show 5 stars! If you live near London or can make the journey, and you are a Disney fan definitely get tickets! It finishes in August 2019 so there’s only a few months to catch it! I will definitely try to see it one last time, because I just cannot get bored of it. So many amazing things to see it each time, and really makes me feel like I’m living the story with the characters. Lidia x Follow me on Social Media:
