Okay let’s face facts, no ones perfect right? You’re never going to please everyone no matter how hard you try- trust me I know. You could be nicest person, the best at everything but there will always be one person who disagrees with something you do.
It is okay to disagree with others from time to time, that’s the whole reason for opinions, and it very unlikely you’re going to lose friends over different opinions. Yeah you might get the ‘what?!’s and ‘I can’t believe that!!’s, but who isn’t a stranger to these reactions? Anyway here’s a few things where those reactions are brought up. I'm embracing these things, you embrace yours!!! I don’t drink tea or coffee *shock horror*.
I always get stared at when I tell my friends or family ‘I don’t like tea or coffee’. What’s wrong with that? Yes I’m still a nine year old- I would much rather drink hot chocolate with marshmallows. My mum’s family look at me like I’m an alien when I refuse a cup of tea, especially as they are from Yorkshire!!
Preferring to watch smaller, less known Youtubers compared with bigger, famous ones.
I would much rather spend my time watching people on youtube with less than 200,000 subscribers. Most aren’t arrogant or brag about the number of subscribers etc, whereas I've found bigger youtubers tend to do this- I'm not saying all famous ones do though!! Don’t get me wrong some famous youtubers seem really lovely and are so grateful to have the huge amount of followers.
I'm boring when it comes to Nando’s spice.
Yes I’m that person who orders the least amount of spice possible when going to Nando’s. All my friends laugh when I say I only have lemon and herd or mango and lime. Even that is spicy for me!!
I’m a lightweight when it comes to drinking.
I’m such a lightweight but that suits me fine- I prefer to drink for pleasure, not to get drunk and making a fool of myself. I’m that girl who looks after friends when they have had too much to drink. Some friends think I can’t enjoy the night because I don’t drink lots but I don’t need alcohol to have a fun time, just give me water and I'll be on the dance floor!!
I panic and stress over the smallest things.
Everyone knows I'm a worrier and stress so much about things. I can’t help it and I’m trying to worry less but it's just me- if you don’t like that then you know where the door is (bringing that sass to the blog haha!!).
I have the ultimate baby face.
Whether it's going to see a 12 rated film (yes I’m 19 but get asked for ID when seeing a 12) or going to an 18+ event, I always get asked to show my ID. I’ve got used to it but a lot of friends still find it annoying- If they ask me for ID they will ask my friends too. I’ve learnt to embrace my youthfulness and my baby face, it doesn’t faze me anymore.
I could think of some many more things that bother others, but I won’t bore you. -What things are you embracing which bothers others about yourself? Do you have the same or different ones to me?
