On Wednesday I went to see Aladdin: The musical and let me tell you something.. it was the best West End show I've ever seen. I'm still overwhelmed by the performance and it's Friday!!Since the show first came to the west end, I've always wanted to go and see it, so when I found out we had tickets I was super excited. I hadn't seen many spoilers either which was great, because when crazy amazing things happened (I'm trying so hard not to spoil it for you haha) I was so surprised- my mouth was wide open with a few tears in my eyes haha. We didn't book the tickets far in advance, it was kind of a last minute thing so I really wasn't hoping to have "good" seats- with a show that popular you would have thought all seats would have been taken. However, we got amazing seats, like incredible seats!! We were sat on the second row.. yes I'll repeat.. Second row from the front!!! And the tickets weren't that expensive, maybe because it was a week day?? Anyway, the fact we were sat literally on the stage meant we could see absolutely everything, from the amazing facial expressions of the actors, to the movement of different stage settings, to even sweat pouring off their faces- yes a bit gross I know. The orchestra was basically underneath the stage, so we could hear all the music which was lovely- you could see the conductor doing his thing too haha. Here's a picture to show you how close we were.. When we booked the tickets, we decided to get a brochure of all the different scenes, for a little memory of the show. I made sure I didn't look through it before the show started- didn't want any spoilers. Here's a picture from the brochure to give you a little insight into the show... Before the show started, when we collected the brochure, I noticed a cute little pin hanging up on the stand. If you know me, you'll know I'm a massive fan for disney pins so when I saw this I knew I had to get it. It's a little addition to my collection, to remind of the most magical evening. Another exciting thing about that evening, was the fact that I decided to take my Jasmine bag with me- yes I did just say Jasmine bag. It's a cross-the-body bag with Jasmine's face all on it- its amazing! As soon as I knew about the tickets were booked, I got so excited at the fact that I could take my Jasmine bag haha. And so many people were looking at it throughout the night, and smiling at me which was lovely. Even a little girl pointed to it and said "Aladdin bag!!" which was so cute haha. If you are big disney fan like me definitely grab some tickets to see it!! I understand now why the tickets can be expensive, with all the smoke, different tricks, over 300 costumes! (it was mentioned in the brochure), the different props and settings. It's definitely worth it and I would 100% see it again. Best evening ever.
