I'm uploading a slightly different post today, but it's still an important one! Read below if you want found about my fundraising event I'm doing this year. Back in 2015 I raised around £500 for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, by cutting off nine inches of my hair. I also donated this hair to the Little Princess Trust for a wig to be made, for children or adults who have hair loss. It was my first time fundraising and I was very nervous, but I absolutely enjoyed the feeling of giving back and helping others. Here's some photos of my fundraising in 2015. Since then I have been growing out my hair to do it again. And now my hair is long enough (probably slightly longer than in 2015 too!) to donate it again. I have decided to not only cut my hair for the Little Princess Trust but to also raise money again for the Children's Hospice. I hope to raise more money than last time, and I have decided to not have a deadline to do my hair cut. I have as long as it takes to raise over £500- it might take a few months, a year or longer but I'm excited to get fundraising. I would really appreciate it if you could have a look at my fundraising page, and if you can donate (no matter how small) I would be very grateful. All the money I raise on my JustGiving page goes to Bluebell Wood Hospice, and then when I cut my hair I will send the hair off to Little Princess Trust. My family have been donating money to Bluebell Wood Hospice for years now so it felt right to continue to help them. In 2015 I was lucky enough to visit the Hospice to get the chance to look around, and see with my own eyes where the money goes. The work they do to help terminally ill children and their families have a peaceful time was so wonderful to see. And the money I raise will help to fund equipment and facilities for the children, support the families needs, and give fun, memorable moments to the children and families staying here. Little Princess Trust is also a great charity and they are amazing when it comes to donating your hair. The hair given all goes directly to making a wig for a child or adult with hair loss, which I feel is so amazing. I think everyone takes for granted their hair, the length of their hair and how fast it grows. So if I can donate my hair (which I don't need) to someone who really needs it, then that would be amazing. And with the Trust I can! Here's the link to my fundraising page if you want to help! For far we have £30 which is already amazing, considering I haven't had this page open for long. But I know we can raise more! I will be updating my blog throughout the process so make to stay tuned. Thank you to everyone who donates, has sent me kind messages already. It really means a lot!
See y'all real soon, with a new blog coming on Monday!! Lidia x
