Tonight I was reading through my favourite blog websites, and it occurred to me that I needed to upload a new blog! It has been such a busy and stressful month, but I'm back and feeling great that I have made time to write a new blog!
Throughout this month I've had to focus on my A Level subjects as well as finding the time to complete my UCAs application for University, making time for me to chill in my pajamas with my family, going to different events and finding time to go out with my friends; so you could say this month has been very packed with exciting and stressful moments!! This month has flown by so quickly, but I'd like to share the different moments that has occurred in this month! This school term has been very stressful and packed full of teachers saying "this school year is very important for you all!", which for me makes me more tense and stressed!! I have had to juggle my homework and studies along with my application for university, making a lot of stress build up on my shoulders. Teachers have been constantly explaining that we need to complete our final draft of our personal statements, online application and the booklet they gave us earlier in the year in order for all our university applications to be sent off. I kept thinking how I was going to get it all done within this school term!!! I'm glad I have completed it just in time for the half term, as I know that I would definitely be in panic mode after half term for not having it completed. It feels very strange to think that I'm one step closer to going to university. This month I have also met up with my close friend, Molly, who I haven't seen since February. We decided to go and see Sonny Jay ( former member of Loveable Rogues) at his radio station, which was amazing! We got to have a chat and we got lots of pictures! It was really nice to see Molly again after so long, and I hope we can meet up again soon. Before this Sonny was featured in a theatre production based in Stratford, that was only on for three days. I decided to see him perform, and recreate the life of Lionel Bart who was a songwriter. His music featured in famous musicals like Oliver Twist. It was great to see Sonny in a different environment other than on stage at a gig, and it was amazing to see the tragic life of Lionel Bart. I went to the cinema this week with two friends to see the Gothic Romance film, Crimson Peak. We mainly decided to go to see Tom Hiddleston in the film, but we did not really know what we were in for! There were several parts in the film that we had not expected, even after watching several different trailers beforehand. Tom however was definitely what we had expected!!! There were gory sections as well as parts that made you jump out of your seat, but the main story line was based on the battle between pure love and restrained love. I would highly recommend going to see it if Gothic Romance is your favourite! There were lots of subtle hints hidden in the background, which you only realise after the film has ended; my friends and I spent the most of the journey home talking about them and how they related to the rest of the story! This week my friends and I decided to do a zombie photo shoot that we could then add to our photography books for school. Three of us dressed up like zombies, whilst one of my friends acted as the 'surviour' in the images. We took different pictures in the forest as well as in my friends' back garden. We also took different shots within the locations, in order to show different situations during a zombie apocalypse. I really enjoyed doing this, as we all got different images as to what we had captured before in lessons, and we all enjoyed spending a day being photographers! I think the worst part of doing this however was walking in the street with gruesome make up on, and seeing people walking towards us. As soon as this happened we ducked our heads in hope that they wouldn't see us and question what we were doing! Finally, today I went to Comic Con in Excel, London with my mum and brother. There were lots of different stalls that were based in one of the massive rooms at Excel. Doctor Who, Star Wars, Marvel, were all scattered around the room as well as gaming and comic book stalls. There were also looks of different people dressed up as different comic book characters, which did make us feel very under dressed haha! Comic Con has lots of things that interest different people, and I loved walking round trying to spot what people were dressed up as! There were a lot of people today, so it was very overcrowded but I would definitely go back again! I know this blog has been very long, but I wanted to share the different things I have done since my last blog! I am definitely going post more frequently; I have missed writing on here, it's good to be back writing!
