On Friday 1st July I had my leavers prom, which was my final (yes final!) prom of secondary school! It was so great to see everyone looking stunning and having fun. It was held at the Tower Hotel(I think that's what's it called!) in London right beside Tower Bridge, which was lovely as in the evening the bridge was lit up, along with the shard in the background- it really made the occasion feel even more special. At the prom there was a buffet, a photobooth and a professional photographer which was very awesome. Also no prom would be properly equipped without a dance floor, which was where I was all night so you could probably guess that by the time I got home my feet were killing! Overall it was such a good night, and I got to see all my friends having such a great time. I would definitely do it all over again. There's just a few pictures from the lovely evening. Playsuit: Asos Bag: Topshop Shoes: Dorothy Perkins Okay, so this outfit is possibly my favourite outfit I own!(please excuse the background of this picture, we had to take pictures in the tube station because we were rushing, haha!) The Playsuit is so comfy and I love the cape sleeves, as it adds some sparkle and glitter to the outfit. The only thing I'd say about the Playsuit is the fact that it is slightly heavy because of the cape sleeves, but I love the outfit so it doesn't matter! The shoes are block heels and are lace ups, but they have a zip at the inner sides of the shoes making it so easy to slip on and off. They were also very comfy and the suede material really added a subtle effect. And the bag, oh wow! When I saw this in topshop I knew I had to have it for prom. It is a soft material with a black and nude pattern, and has a cross the body strap which is very very handy. Also the bag may not look big but it certainly is- I fit my purse, lipstick, lip balm, my phone and my prom ticket but I still had loads of room left inside. Overall I absolutely loved my outfit as it completely suited the prom theme, yet I can still wear this outfit again for going out with friends and family-this is something I looked for as I didn't want to buy an outfit for prom and then not wear it again. For my hair I curled it using a curling wand, and I sectioned all my hair starting from the bottom and working my way up- it took so much longer than I expected, haha! I then pinned back a top section and twisted it, to create a more detailed effect. Foundation: Mally- Ultimate Performance Liquid Foundation Contour, Blush,Highlight: Doll 10 Cheek to Chic Blush & Contour Palette Eyebrows: Mally- Brow Beauty brow fix Eyeshadow: Combination of Mally Eyeshadow- Copper Rose and Bare Minerals- Gorgeous Eyes Unlocked Mascara: Maybelline- Colossal Volum' Express Lipstick: Mac- Velvet Teddy I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all my friends who have put up with my throughout the whole of secondary school. They have been there for me through thick and thin and we have had such great times, which I will cherish forever. I will miss you all, and I really hope we all stay in contact. Good luck with the future girls!!
If any of you get the chance to attend a prom for school I would definitely recommend going! It is so fun spending time with your friends, and seeing everyone dressed up! I would definitely say to spend lots of time on the dance floor, singing and dancing to your favourite songs- that has always been my favourite bit about prom.
