It's been a while since I've written a blog post, but as it's Christmas Eve Eve I've decided to upload a festive Christmas tag. I have recently seen a lot of these tags floating around on social media, so I thought why not do one and upload it onto here!!! I've used different questions from different tags to make it more suitable to me, but feel free to use these questions if you'd like to take part in this festive tag.
1. What's your favourite Christmas movie? Okay this is a hard one as there is so many which I love to watch during this festive season. However, personally I would say White Christmas and Love Actually- I can't just choose one haha. White Christmas is one of those films which I have to watch over and over again during Christmas. I always love watching films which are set in 1950s-1960s whether they are Christmas films or not, so when I first heard about this film quite a while ago I knew I had to watch it. It makes me feel in such a good mood for Christmas, and I love singing along to the songs. If you haven't watched this film I would highly recommend watching it with a nice warm drink, wrapped up warm in bed. Love Actually is such a feel good film and also puts me in such a festive mood for Christmas. It is also so funny, and there are so many amazing actors and actresses in the film. I had only first watched this film last year I think, so I was definitely missing out before then. I again would highly recommend watching this film if you want a giggle, but to also feel in the mood for Christmas. 2. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory? At first I couldn't think of any, but when I started to actually think of past Christmas' I came across one. One Christmas when me and my brother were quite young, my mum filmed Father Christmas placing our presents under the tree. At the time we were absolutely amazed that mum had got him on film and we were so so excited! However as we got older and realised the all-important secret, mum told us that it was our dad in a Father Christmas costume and my mum was squashed under the table, trying her best to stay quiet and get the best angle of Father Christmas. She explained that she had to tell him what to do because he had no idea- typical!! This memory is definitely one of my favourites, however every Christmas is very special and memorable being around family, playing board games all day, opening presents in our pjs, and eating far too much food. 3. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? For my family and I we open presents on Christmas morning in our pjs. When we were younger we would wake up super early and sit by our presents until mum and dad came downstairs. Now I seem to get up late morning, but that's what teenagers do right? Christmas day in my opinion has to start with the opening of presents, but it is important to appreicate the thought of the gift instead of being materialist about the value of the gift. 4. Favourite festive food? Pigs in blankets definitely, as it would not be Christmas without them. They are so delightful and i wish I have them all year round, but then it wouldn't be special when we have them at Christmas haha! All the food at Christmas is amazing, and I tell myself every year not to eat too much during this fesrive time, but I cannot resist all the delicious food. 5. Where do you usually spend your holiday? We always celebrate Christmas at home, or at one of my family members house. I don't think I've ever been abroad for Christmas and to be honest it wouldn't really feel like Christmas if we went away. Plus who wants all that extra hassle of having to travel during Christmas?!! 6. Do you have any Christmas traditions? Now I don't know if this is a tradition or not, but every year we make sure we open our presents altogether on Christmas morning in our pjs. Also, we always play games with the family after dinner and it gets so competitive haha! 7. Are you a pro-present wrapper or do you fail miserably? I wouldn't call myself a pro, but I can sort of wrap presents neatly... if the present isn't a complicated shape haha! My mum is the real pro at wrapping- whether the presents are square or circular mum seems to wrap them all so neatly! I definitely need her skills haha! 8. Do you normally have a fake or real Christmas tree? We normally have a fake Christmas tree as it is so much easier to maintain, there's no mess on the floor, and you get to store it in a box to keep it or the following year. Having said this I think our tree is on it's last legs, so hopefully next year we can get a cute little real tree :) 9. What tops your tree? At the moment we have a pink glittery star and a ballerina decoration on top of our tree, but when we were younger mum used to place a Christmas decoration that my brother had made at school, or one that I had made at school. We still have some of our little decorations from school on our tree, which I think is super cute and makes our tree a little bit more special. 10. What is the best part of Christmas to you? It would definitely have to be spending time with family. I love playing games with my family on Christmas and just having a laugh and a joke with everyone. My family mean the world to me so spending valuable time with them in this festive season, makes me very very happy. However, on Christmas this year we will spending it at home just with my mum and brother. They have had a very bad chest infection recently so, we won't be spending Christmas day with everyone which is so annoying- we are going to facetime them on Christmas day though so it's not all bad I suppose. Christmas day will still be special and memorable as I still to get spend it with my amazing mum and younger brother. Hope you enjoyed getting to know a little bit more about my Christmas! Merry Christmas!!!!
