Hey everyone, it’s been a while. I don’t want to bore you with excuses but, Christmas and the lead up to it was insanely busy. I had so many assignments to do which was not fun, plus I had several things to sort out. So I didn’t have time to sit down and write some blogs. Seeing as I did say I was going to do some Christmas posts, I thought why not show you some of the pretty decorations I saw whilst out and about! I promise to get better at blogging for the future! Happy New Year too! I’m so excited for this year as I have several things to look forward to. I’ve got some disney trips planned, which if you know me it’s very exciting! I hopefully will be graduating in July (crazy stuff!!!), I’m turning 21 in June (how I do not know!) and hopefully will have a job within a few months of me leaving university. So this year is goning to be jam packed full of exciting, and daunting things and I hope I can spare some time to write about them for he blog. Along with all of this, I have just started by first work out of 2019. Have a work out dvd which I’ve been doing on and off for a while but this is year I really want to get fit and healthy for my holidays as well as just for me! At the moment I feel so sluggish from all the Christmas food and I really want to get back in shape. I want to start eating healthier again too, so in order for me to stay motivated I have decided to blog and share Instagram stories on my journey. I know people may not be interested but it doesn’t matter, as I am only doing it to help me keep on track and see my progress. I am going to create a separate category on the right hand panel of my blog so if you are interested, you can see all my blogs related to my journey. I cannot wait to get fit and healthy! I already feel a lot better after doing my workout earlier on, so imagine how great I’ll feel when summer comes! Here’s to a new me (yes cringey) and a new year! I hope to achieve all these things as well as continue to make my dreams come true, develop my self love, confidence and happiness. I hope 2019 is a great year for everyone reading this. May it be filled with love and giggles. Lidia x Social Media:

Hello Winter! I don’t know about you but, this week has been so chilly compared to other weeks. But we are in November now so it shouldn’t really be a surprise haha. Here’s a small post sharing with you five things I love doing during this season. 1. Wear cosy clothes I love wearing thick jumpers, tights, boots and being wrapped up warm in scarves and big coats. 2. Have lots of movie days wrapped in blankets If you know me well, you’ll know I will be doing this a lot within this season. I would much rather spend cold nights during autumn and winter under blankets at home watching movies (especially disney movies) than going out partying/clubbing. It’s so cosy especially when we hear the crackling fire in the background. 3. Go on a Jack the Ripper tour It doesn’t have to be a Jack the Ripper tour, just any tour for that matter (especially at night). I’ve done the Ripper tour twice now and both were during the colder months. I absolutely loved it and I think it made it more atmospheric during the colder nights-it was so eerie standing where the ripper was, in the freezing cold 4. Drink lots and lots of hot chocolate I’m a sucker for hot chocolate (I love chocolate and I don’t drink tea or coffee) so of course I make the most of it during the colder months. Whether it’s homemade or not, there’s always time for hot chocolate. 5. Pamper nightsI don’t know about you, but during winter I seem to pamper myself more. I love doing face masks, using bath bombs, and painting my nails (now that I’ve finally grown them out!) It’s a lovely to way to unwind after a heavy day at university, and give yourself some me time. I normally pamper myself whilst watching Netflix which is a great combination. Hope your Wednesday is going great, and let me know what your favourite things to do during winter are. Lidia xx Social Media:Happy Halloweeennn!! Can you believe it's Halloween?! Where has October gone?! Tonight I will be at home watch some scary movies- even though I'm not a massive fan of scary movies, but you've got to on Halloween! And I wanted to share with you the ones I’m considering watching- in case you aren’t dong much on Halloween but still want to be in the spooOooky mood. 1. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. This is a new Netflix tv show and I have actually just finished Part One, but I want to share this show with you. It's so addictive because it's so good but I wish I hadn't watched it that quickly. It is about a teenage girl, Sabrina, who is half-moral half-witch and has to choose between the two worlds. It goes a lot deeper though into both worlds and how they collide. It is very spooky, and there are bits of horror but it’s a good watch! Also there are subtle hints to Riverdale which is exciting because there might be a little crossover! This tv show is perfect for Halloween as it has demons, witches, spells, sinister atmosphere, and a few jump scares. I'm already excited for Part Two. 2. Halloween.I only recently watched this film and I thought it was great! Im talking about the 1978 version by the way. It isn’t as full on with jump scares and terrifying scenes like in 21st century horror movies, which is great if you aren’t big fan of them like me. I found it quite comical too- not everything in the movie is as scary now as what it would have been in 1978. The storyline is great and I do want to see the 2018 sequel to see how it links with the older movie. Anyway this film is definitely a must watch on Halloween: the clue is in the title!! 3. Haunting of Hill House.Another new Netflix show that I've been loving recently. Yes, it gives me the creeps and there are quite a few jump scares and horrific scenes but it is so gripping! The storyline is based around a house and the haunting effects it has on a family. It is set in the present but has several flashbacks to when the family were living there and explains all the hauntings and how it has effected the children in their adult lives. as well as it giving me shivers, you get very emotional attached to the family and feel a sense of sadness towards what has happened to them. I am only a few episodes in and I cannot wait to delve deeper into the show. It's perfect for Halloween- make sure you give it a watch if you haven't already. 4. Nightmare Before Christmas. This is Halloween, this is Halloween... Halloween, Halloween, Halloween, Halloween...sorry I had to! It's perfect for today haha. If you are in the mood for a slightly less horrific and haunting show/movie to watch, then Nightmare Before Christmas is your answer. I watched this a lot as a kid and absolutely loved it and I still do. I love the characters and the songs, it reminds so much of my childhood. It's such a classic Disney film and perfect for Halloween and even Christmas- do you class this as a Halloween or Christmas film? 5. Beetlejuice.Another film which reminds of my childhood- yes I did watch this as a kid and yes it completely freaked me out. But now I'm a lot of older I have come to appreciate it more, from the humour, to the whole meaning behind the storyline. It's another classic and I absolutely love this film. Also, how I can not love the fact that one of the main characters is called Lydia too?!! In my eyes it will never get old, and again perfect for Halloween. I am even wearing a Beetlejuice jumper dress (the back of it is shown the picture above) as I am writing this, what's not to love about Beetlejuice?! 6. Hocus Pocus.Similar to Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus is one that is suitable for all ages and is perfect if you aren't fond of horror movies. I can't say I remember watching this as a kid (shock horror, seeing as it's Disney!!), but nonetheless I love it so much. The humour is great and I love the whole feel of the movie. It's again a classic and I enjoy watching it every time! There you go! Only a few movies/shows mentioned here but I didn't want to overload on a massive list. These are my favourites and it is going to be hard to choose which ones to watch tonight!! Hope you all have a great Halloween, whether you are going trick or treating, partying or just staying at home watching movies. Lidia x Follow me on my Socials:Have you ever been to a pumpkin patch? Well Sunday was my first time and it was pretty cute!! We arrived about 1pm so with it being a Sunday and the weekend nearest to Halloween as you can imagine it was very busy. There wasn’t a lot of pumpkins to choose from and the queue to buy the pumpkins was very long but it was a really nice experience. I did get some pictures but I would have liked to have taken more. There was so many people, I felt quite self conscious of people staring if my family took pictures of me. Recently I’ve gained a lot of confidence when being in front of the camera for once but yesterday I just wasn’t feeling it. The pictures I did get were cute however and I will share them with you! We also carved the pumpkin too which was a lot of fun. We bought a carving kit from the farm so we didn’t have to use a knife (safety first kids) and I loved deciding what design to carve too. It was super easy because there was also various stencil designs in the kit which was super handy. Here’s our finished pumpkin and some pictures from our little adventure on Sunday. I really hope next year we can visit a pumpkin patch as it has really put in the Halloween spirit! A note to self though...make sure you go to the farm early in the morning as it won’t be as busy and you get more a selection of pumpkins!! I’m so excited for tomorrow now! What will you be doing on Halloween? I will be watching Halloween movies with my family, the perfect evening in my opinion!! Look out for a blog tonight on a list of Halloween movies and tv shows you could watch on Halloweeeeennn! Lidia x Want to follow my social media?Happy Saturday everyone, hope you are all having a great weekend! If you follow my Disney Instagram (link at the end of this post) you will have seen that on Sunday I explored London with one of my best friends, Dani! We met through both having a disney Instagram but I can happily call her one of my closest friends. Internet friends are the best! Anyway we decided we wanted to have a day around London to explore, but to also take some pictures for our Instagram feeds- yes we are not ashamed that we are those girls haha. We went to several places: Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Notting Hill, Covent Garden and Victoria so I’m sure you’ll understand when we say our feet and legs hurt badly on Monday!! Nevertheless, I had the best time being surrounded by great company and a lot of pictures were taken! It was so lovely to spend a full day with Dani and not just going round Disney shops like we had done previously- even though that was really fun too! Also, it was lovely to wear Disney clothing and have some pictures taken of me without being at Disney for once!! I hope it shows you all that you don’t have to be at a Disney park to have a Disney photoshoot. Anyway I want to share with you a few of my favourite pictures because Dani’s camera was amazing at making me look decent for once haha. If you would like to see more pictures make sure you check out my both my Instagram’s as I will be posting a lot more pictures. Also I will be posting some on the Photography section of my blog too!! Thank you Dani for travelling all that way to spend a day with me. It was so enjoyable and memorable. I really hope we can do something similar in the future. Lidia x Social Media:I’ve loved the band ever since my mum asked me to listen to them about 6years ago. My mum was already a fan because they come from her home town and they used Yorkshire dialect in their songs which is what she loved!! And I’m so glad she got me to listen to them because ever since, they have been a band I’ve always listened to. I’ve always wanted to see them live, so did my mum, but for some reason we never got round to doing it! I’m so glad I got to see them live last night. It was so enjoyable and I sung my heart out. However, towards the end of the night we had to ask staff if we could change seats because of a group of people behind us. They had spilt beer over us and we didn’t want to sit in front of them because of the way they had spoken to us. We spoke with staff and they were so apologetic. They gave us new seats (which I thought wouldn’t happen seeing as it was a sold out gig) on the opposite side to where we were originally sitting. The atmosphere was so much better. Everyone was so much calmer and just taking it all in, instead of acting crazy, throwing beer, and shouting. We weren’t even in the standing pit which I can understand is what happens down there when you see bands like Arctic Monkeys- we saw people in the pit crowd surfing, throwing tops, beer, pushing but I don’t (in my opinion) expect that at any gig when you are right at the top of the arena in seats. So that was an experience we didn’t see happening and it did make us a bit annoyed because we had missed several songs whilst sorting it out, but it’s all good because we got to enjoy the last few songs in better seats! The o2 staff helped us so much and were so great handling the situation. But I don’t want this post to be a rant because the band were amazing. The set was sooo good! I loved all the songs they sang. I loved how there wasn’t a lot going on with the stage decorations. They kept it very minimal but still dramatic and powerful. I especially loved the “monkeys” light above the stage which we couldn’t see until we changed seats. I loved hearing the songs from their new album as they have a different sound to the previous albums, but of course their older songs (from the AM album especially) were my favourite of the night. Overall it was a great night and I’m sure mum and I will laugh about the situation in the future. I’m just so happy I got to see Arctic Monkeys live. It was completely different to other artists I’ve been to see but it was so worth it! Here’s some pictures I got in the two different seats, haha- they aren't great pictures but they will do. Lidia xx Social Media:Hey guys I’m back! Sorry for not posting for a while I’ve had lots of things going on, especially visiting Disneyland Paris again!!! Its crazy to think this time last week I was still there. This trip was a special one because I went with my disney bestie Danni, so I thought why not give you little overview on how it went- as well as show you some of my favourite pictures. So if you didn’t know already I have a disney Instagram account which I actually created one year ago tomorrow. The whole reason behind it was that I wanted a place to keep and share all my disney pictures but on a different account than my personal Instagram- I felt like I needed to give my friends a break from all the disney picture spams haha. So I thought ‘hey why not create a disney Instagram!!’. I had followed a few disney accounts on my personal account, but I didn’t think anything of it other than a place to have all my disney pictures together. However, once I started to get into it more, following and interacting other disney accounts, I realised that it was in fact a community. A community to support others on their love for disney, see others disney adventures, and meet friends who also share the same disney love. I was so shocked that something like this existed and I was completely overwhelmed. Over time I developed my confidence to share more about myself with my followers and reach out to other accounts. That's when I came across Danni’s Instagram, and since then we have become so close and are disney besties. We met for the first time in June with our other bestie Dani, and I honestly don’t know where i'd be without these girls. We then met again in August with two other disney instagrammers and it was such a lovely day. I’m so grateful to have met so many amazing disney friends and I can’t remember what my life was like before my disney Instagram- so if you are reading this, thank you for supporting me and I love you all. So long story short, Danni and I decided why not go to Disneyland Paris together!! We booked it about a month in advance so it was pretty last minute, and we didn’t have an actual plan but we had the best time. We went from the 3rd sept-5th sept, so only two nights but it was one of the best holidays I’ve ever had. We got so much done, rode most of the rides (apart from toy story play land rides, and crushes coaster), we met so many characters (see pictures below), watched the shows, parade and fireworks, ate snacks and went to restaurants i'd never been before, and we even got cute pictures for the Instagram. I can’t believe how much we packed in, especially as we realistically only had two full days!! It was such a special trip, going with my disney Insta bestie but also because it was the first trip I’ve done where I travelled completely on my own to a different country. This was a big deal for me becuase I’ve never been confident enough, but I thought ‘hey why not my first time travelling to a different county alone, be to disney!!’. I was super nervous but I had such a lovely journey there and back (despite the screaming kids), and I felt like I had accomplished soooo much when I got to Disneyland Paris. ![]() As well as all of that, it was my first time staying offsite at Disneyland Paris so I was a bit apprehensive, but the hotel was incredible. I’m going to do a separate hotel review but let me just say it was just what we needed for a short trip- clean, so close to the parks, modern and pretty. Also I will post restaurant reviews seeing as it was my first time eating at ‘Fuente del Oro’ and ‘Hakuna Matata’. Oh and I almost forgot…. I’m now an Disneyland Paris Annual Passholder aaaaahh!!! I have been wanting to do this for a while now, and I’m so grateful it's finally happened… more Disneyland Paris trips wooo!!! For those interested I will be doing an DLP AP guide at some point, with tips and how I actually got it so keep your eyes peeled. Anyway, enough rambling, Danni thank you so much for coming with me it was so enjoyable and I cannot wait to go back with you again!! This trip was so amazing and so memorable… here's some of my favourite pictures… I have sooo many more pictures to share with you, but I won't bore you with them on here, so check out my disney Instagram if you want to see more!! Lidia xx My social media:Probably one of my favourite stores at the moment is the West End Disney pop up shop which is currently at Covent Garden. It’s a summer store for Aladdin and The Lion King west end shows, where you can see several different costumes and props from the shows as well as offering some special events and interactive experiences! As some of you may know, The Lion King and Aladdin are two of my favourite movies and Aladdin is my favourite west end show I’ve been to see. So when they announced this shop was happening I was freaking out!!! I only got to visit the first time last Tuesday when I met up with some lovely disney instagrammers, some who I had met before and some who I hadn’t! So that in itself was such a lovely experience but to then go the pop up store made it even more magical!! At the store you can participate in a treasure hunt around covent garden’s piazza, where you search around for hidden lamps that contain letters. The letters then make up a word (associated with Aladdin), and if you get it correct when you get back to the store you can win a signed poster from the cast of Aladdin and The Lion King west end shows! Amazing right!!So of course we took part in the treasure hunt, and we got the poster! It’s so pretty and I cannot wait to hang it up in my bedroom at some point! Also they gave us a Lion King sticker (which I have stuck on laptop case of course!!), plus there is photo spot where you can pose with the lamp, so obviously we did that too! It was such a great experience and I loved to be able to share it with my disney pals!! I loved it so much I decided to take my mum to see it yesterday, and she really liked it too! The store is fairly small which is a shame, so it was quite busy when I went the second time. But it was still just as magical. I did try to get mum to take some pictures by the lamp with me, but she refused (why she did that I do not know!!) so I ended up having two sets of pictures by myself with lamp… It was a lovely experience, I loved seeing the props and costumes too as well as watching the tv screen to discover some cool facts about the two west end shows. However it is only open until the 26th August! So if you want go you better go soon!!! It’s such a shame it isn’t a permanent store, but fingers crossed they will do something similar in the future!! Here’s some pictures I got!! Lidia xx Social Media..![]() I’m sorry but I couldn’t stay away! I went again to see Killer Joe play on Wednesday, and was even better than the first time! My brother and I got seats right at the front of the stage (we were essentially sat on the stage it was that close), and honestly you could see so much more and you literally felt like you in the trailer with the characters. We were literally touching distance away from the set, I’m not even joking! Here’s a sneaky picture I took how close we were… thats my skirt, and thats where the set was where the tv is…. The seats were also right at the side of the stairs you take when entering the studio (as its called), so I was right by the stairs. Which meant the actors entered and exited right beside me…. Yes Orlando bloom on several occasions did that, and he had to pass in between the tv and our seats so you can imagine how I was feeling!!! Also, a little story time to show how much of a fangirl I am… one time during the performance he was exiting by those stairs so he had to pass me, but he was holding his jacket fairly low to the ground and it by accident knocked my knee and I was basically screaming inside… Also in one scene Killer Joe (Orlando Bloom) meets Dottie (Sophie Cookson) and Dottie hides behind the tv because she has no idea who this guy is who’s entered her house. Killer Joe then walks towards the tv and introduces himself to her and goes to shake her hand. This was literally right in front of our faces. So of course I was freaking out a bit then too because Orlando was soooo close. Overall the performance was so much better than first time. Not that the first time was bad, the seats just weren’t as good and you couldn’t see everything. We noticed all the little details of the set as well as see more what was going on throughout the performance. We felt so immersed in the performance because everything was literally done right at our feet. Then to make the evening even better, we waited at the stage door (yes another fangirl moment) for Orlando to come out and see fans. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture with him because there was around 70+ people there and loads were pushing! And to be honest I bet half of them didn’t even go and see Killer Joe Play!!! BUT he ended up going back inside after he met with some fans, then he came back to get on his motorbike to leave the studios. So that was a great sight.. seeing him leave on his bike (with his little dog Mighty in his bag!!) and there wasn’t a lot of people there by that time too, so I could fully see him and basically just stare at him whilst he was leaving. Also, one woman asked him a question about taking pictures and he said “yes take as photos as you want guys” which I thought was so sweet and kind of him! And at one bit he thought he had lost his phone, so he was asking “guys where’s my phone?” Which I thought was pretty funny… i think it ended up being in his pocket… shows you I’m not the only one that freaks out thinking they’ve lost their phone when in fact its right in front of you, haha!! Anyway heres some pictures I got…. Also a girl helped me to get him to sign my Killer Joe booklet!!! So, wednesday was literally one of the best evenings ever and I honestly will remember it all for the rest of my life. It still hasn’t sunk in and I don’t think it will to be honest. I got home that night and had a little cry (happy tears) because I just couldn’t believe what happened!! So yeah there you go, Killer Joe has finished and I’m so gutted, but I can’t wait for Orlando (and the other actors too!!) to do more plays/shows in the future. I will definitely be going!! Bye Killer Joe play, you were great… Lidia xx Social Media..This isn’t the typical play or show I would normally go and see, but because Orlando Bloom stars in it I knew I had to!! I’ve always had a crush on Orlando Bloom, since I was about 6 or 7 years old when I first watched Pirates of the Caribbean. So imagine me, just sat there looking at him all the time during the play, because that’s exactly what I was doing. ![]() Anyway let me give you a brief overview about the play. There are only five characters in the play, Killer Joe, a dad, step mum, brother and sister. The play was set in a trailer park in Texas with the Smith family who is struggling for money to pay off some drug dealers. So in order for them to repay the debt, they hire a detective (Orlando Bloom) who, in his spare time, works as a hitman killer, in order to kill off their mother. They believe they can use their mothers insurance money to pay off the debt. However, not all goes to plan when Killer Joe meets the innocent daughter. The play was very dark, sinister but also comedic which I feel it had to be, to make up for the dark moments. There was violence, sweating and nudity which definitely made us feel uncomfortable at times which was probably the writer’s intentions! Because of this awkward, uncomfortableness you feel more connected to the characters, and can feel their emotions and feelings because it’s so intense and truthful. The actors were incredible in portraying the life of a family struggling to live and work off this debt, as well as finding a way to pay off Killer Joe for his work. Other than Orlando Bloom, the actors were all fairly well known too!! Sophie Cookson (Kingsman, Huntsman) played the daughter, Adam Gillen (Benidorm) played the son, Neve McIntosh (Doctor Who) played the step mum, and Steffan Rhodri (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I) played the dad. They all played their characters sooo well!!! They all gripped the audience into understanding more about their terrible situation, as well as showing that each character played a role in the mess they had made. Also seeing as it was set in Texas, their accents were on point. No one faulted, you couldn’t even tell that the southern American accents were just for the performance; it felt so real! Orlando Bloom though… wow. I’m so glad I got to see him acting in person. He played with charm and coolness, as well as the evil ‘don’t mess with me’ vibe. The stage setting didn’t change, unlike other plays and shows, so all was seen was the inside of part of the trailer where all the drama happened. What was also interesting was how when everyone took to their seats before the performance, chatting before it started etc, the actress who played the 20-year old daughter was already on stage in character. She was watching tv, cleaning up mess on the floor, it was just like seeing someone at home. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a play or show which does that whilst the theatre is being filled! I loved also how the stage was connected to the audience. By that I mean there were no steps or platform leading to the stage, it was all on one level. So the people who sat in the front row were essentially sat on the stage. It added to the atmosphere and made you felt like you were witnessing everything with the characters. We sat on the fourth row to the front, so we could see every facial expression, could smell everything (the characters were smoking etc), I could even see Orlando Bloom’s eyes perfectly… his eyes are just gorgeous. I was just mesmerised by his performance. (I need to stop fangirling over him whoops…) Oh yeah we also got to see him bare bum too… I’m not complaining ;) Here's some pictures featured in the brochure we bought... Here's some pictures I found online... Even though it was completely different to what my family and I usually see at the theatre, I would definitely go and see it again. It’s just a shame its only at the theatre until 18th August. This gripping, uneasiness but comedic play was definitely one of the best I’ve seen ever. 10/10 from me!!! Lidia xx Social Media: |
